I suppose with multiple carbs there is a rational possible for a vacuum switched fuel tap - if a carb was leaking it would be hard to get at the offending carb - ( shudder - just think of the 6 cylinder Honda's and the early Benelli's )
But what is the rational on a thumper? The technology of a float cut off works really well and is well proven - so what was the thinking behind complicating the valving
I guess this is a puzzle about keeping the float stuck down!
